Become a superhero for a day - 12th March 2010
Children living in Bath and the surrounding villages can take part in some wild adventures next week and become a superhero for the day.
Bath City Church, based at the Forum in the centre of Bath, is hosting the latest of its popular Kidz United events with a range of activities for children.
With ‘Superheros’ as its theme, Kidz United is an action packed afternoon of games and activities for children aged 5-11years old.
The event is being organised by Rob Bubyer, who is the Children’s Worker at Bath City Church and St John’s Church in Peasedown.
Rob said:
“The world of entertainment has always featured superheroes to inspire children such as Flash Gordon, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Spiderman, and the Power Rangers.
The Bible, too, has its heroes, many of whom are children and young people who trusted God.”
At Kidz United children will explore the lives of children in the Bible who had a strong faith in God and made a real difference in the face of adversity. In so doing, they each became Superheroes.
Rob added:
“We will be doing a mix of songs, warm-up activities, drama, crafts, games, Bible narrations, and quizzes.
There will also be a fancy dress competition where children can make themselves up to look like their favourite Superhero – with prizes being awarded to the best dressed.”
Kidz United Superheros will be held at the Form, Bath, on Saturday 20th March from 2pm-4.30pm. The event costs £3 each. For more information contact Rob Bubyer on 07977094262 or by emailing robbubyer@me.com
