Peasedown Quiz Night hopes to get grey cells ticking - 15th Nov '09
After a successful Barn Dance in September, members of St John’s Church in Peasedown St John are planning the second in a series of social events to lead up to the Summer of next year.
On Saturday 21st November, villagers will be exercising their grey cells with a Quiz Night and the event will include a Ploughman’s Supper to help sustain them through the evening.
Organising the event is the church’s social committee. One of its members is Church Warden Joy Fraser. She said:
“As a community church we have a range of activities on all year round to interest a wide range of people.
Quiz nights are great fun, a good opportunity to meet new people and exercise some of those grey cells which haven’t been used for a while.”
Experienced Quiz Master Richard Holland from Wellow will facilitate and lead the event.
The Quiz Night will be held in St John’s Church Hall, on Saturday 21st November at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £3.50 per person.
Anyone is welcome to bring a team of six. Tickets are available from Joy Fraser on 01761 433644.
