Take a walk through the New Testament - 4th Nov '09
Local people have the chance to take part in a unique one-day course next week in Paulton Methodist Church.
In just 6 hours, the whole of the New Testament will be explored in a dynamic and interactive way.
Entitled ‘Walk Thu the New Testament’, the course will outline and explore the history of the New Testament books in a memorable fashion.
The event has been arranged by the Ten Lamps group of churches in the Midsomer Norton Deanery.
The Revd Matthew Street is the Leader of St John’s Church in Peasedown, which is a member of the Ten Lamps. He said:
“These Walk Thru courses are very good in giving people a broad outline of the history of the Bible. The format used at these one day events is extremely memorable and useful.
Anyone wishing to take part in Walk Thru the New Testament will not be disappointed and their understanding of the Bible will be greatly enhanced.”
By the end of 2008 over 92,000 adults and 363,000 children in the UK had taken part in the course.
From its early beginnings in 1976, the concept of Walk Thru and its innovative methodology has spread very quickly around much of the world. It’s the only ministry that concentrates on teaching surveys of the Bible over a few hours in such a memorable format.
Walk Thru the New Testament will be held at Paulton Central Methodist Church on Saturday 14th November, from 9.30am-4pm. To reserve a place contact Matthew Street on 01761 439923.
