Children’s Worker turned bride! - 20th Sep '09

Churches in Peasedown St John and Wellow have bid farewell to their Children’s Worker following her wedding last week.
Sarah Warren, who had been the Children’s Worker at St John’s Peasedown and St Julian’s Wellow for two years, married David Copsey at a packed wedding service in Wellow on September 12th.
Members of both congregations came to celebrate with Sarah and David, as a thanks to Sarah for her commitment and work in the Benefice.
The couple were married by Church Leader Revd Matthew Street. Matthew commented:
“This was a particularly special wedding for me. Sarah has been a key member of both church families since her arrival in 2007.
Her work with children, in and out of the church, has been fantastic and has helped so many families in Peasedown and Wellow learn about Christian beliefs and ideas in an informal and relaxed environment.”
During her two years of employment, Sarah ran several holiday clubs in both villages and launched a successful after school club in Peasedown St John Primary School.
Sarah and David will be taking their honeymoon in New Zealand next year and making their home in Bury St Edmonds, Suffolk.
Revd Street continued:
“We’d all like to wish Sarah and David all the best for the future, in whatever adventures and work God gives them.”
