Church team expands - again! - 12th Sep '07
Just after employing their first Parish Administrator the Churches of St John’s Peasedown and St Julian’s Wellow have expanded to take on their first ever Children’s Worker.
Designed to work with the local schools and run Children’s activities in both Churches, the role has been taken on by Peasedown resident and
Commenting on her new role, Sarah said:
“In the past I’ve worked on a range of projects with children from working with disaffected young people in to running outreach events with
Sarah’s role will involve going into the local schools to lead assemblies, working with other Churches such as the Bath Road Methodist’s at their weekly Kidzone, and running Soul Kids – the children’s equivalent of Soul Food at
“One of the key functions of any Church should be to cater for and to all members of the community. In the Churches I lead children are just as important as everyone else. They are, after all, the leaders of tomorrow. By employing our own Children’s Worker we are making a huge investment in the future of our Church and the wider community.”
